Ruth Cowan

Professor Emeritus (Ph.D., Johns Hopkins, 1969)
Research Interests
I am an historian of modern science, technology and medicine. My research interests have been at the place where gender studies intersects with the history of science, technology and medicine. Currently I am working on three projects: a history of prenatal diagnosis; a history of thalassemia prevention and treatment; a history of American women engineers.
